So all of the people they cared about could be together, and to give everyone a reason to love New Year – not to mention so William wouldn’t have an excuse for forgetting their anniversary – the couple celebrated their big day on New Year’s Eve.

We were married in my family church, Immanuel, in Oswaldtwistle. It meant so much to me to be married there. We then chose Mitton Hall for our reception – there was never going to anywhere else. Over our 12 years together, we have just loved spending time at Mitton Hall. From date nights to birthday celebrations, it was always our favourite place to be.
No theme – just to give everyone an amazing day and memories to last. We wanted it to be a relaxed day with lots of fun, laughter and love.

Just the traditional Wedding March.
We were very lucky to be able to offer our guests a choice of food. We had to narrow this down at a taster evening, which we enjoyed with our parents and siblings.

We had the fabulous Arthur Geldard, singing as we arrived at Mitton Hall – such a shame we were too busy having pictures to enjoy the singing. We chose to just have a DJ at the reception. We considered bands and singers but decided a great DJ set, with everyone’s favourite songs playing, would help to keep the dance floor busy all night.
Our first dance was Michael Bublé – Close Your Eyes
Kerry Woods. I had followed Kerry for years and, the moment the wedding date was booked, I got in touch. Kerry is amazing and I would choose her again in a heartbeat.

We worked with the Dream Weddings team at Mitton Hall and the suppliers recommended by them to create our perfect day. I’m sad that I won’t get to use them again.
Bridal, by Frankie, did most of the makeup, with some of the girls doing their own. She was a dream and made me feel at ease.
Amy Louise Photography was our videographer. And what a find she was – amazing and, quite honestly, the most fantastic person. My sister got married five months after us and changed her videographer to Amy the moment she saw our video. That said it all to me, as my sister wanted to have different suppliers to us.
The Flower Shop did our flowers and I couldn’t get over them. I have my bouquet in the living room, all dried out. Who knew you could become so attached to flowers?
We both feel so unbelievably lucky to have had the day that we did. It was perfect from start to finish, and we have to thank the suppliers that we worked with. Each one of them played such vital parts. I am still now, six months on, struggling to find a way to thank them that feels anywhere near special enough.
