We wanted somewhere big enough for all our guests but not ‘too big’ and wanted our families to be able to stay over with us – Falcon Manor having 16 rooms was perfect. It is also in a really lovely setting in the dales and somewhere we often go for dog walks.
Laura was pretty set on dark green bridesmaid dresses, but that was it really and everything else we did to tie in with the venue (champagne colours) and a wintry wedding (lots of pine cones and fairy lights). We also managed to get gin involved wherever possible.

A thousand years – acoustic.
We chose 3 options for each course, another reason why we chose our venue as the food options were great! We chose them to give the guests plenty of choice but also got a few of our favourites in there – creme brulee!
We chose Steven Heath, who is absolutely brilliant. He can play acoustic music during the day but has a loop pedal so at night he was more lively – he can do anything from Ed Sheeran to Eminem (he even raps!).

We chose Dave Spink Photography because Laura loves his videos online and he offers both photo and video. It is also documentary style rather than posing – which we weren’t keen on!
Freya, Emily and Gareth at Falcon Manor were a great help.

Mums and bridesmaids helped us, but we did the majority ourselves, even down to gluing the table place settings together.
The things we made ourselves, how well we knew every guest who came to the wedding (we’re both very family orientated!) and Falcon Manor’s attention to detail in the planning. There were things we might not have thought of if it wasn’t for them and it was a really lovely day, everything went so smoothly and the team there are such a big part of that.
