Ben proposed in our home on Christmas Eve 2019, with the help of our gorgeous golden retriever Wilson – the ring box was attached to his collar!
We chose Eaves for it’s opulence and elegance. We wanted a venue that our guests could thoroughly enjoy and Eaves offered enough rooms to accommodate a large number of our party. The décor and design of Eaves is unmatched, and we were blown away with the grandeur. It suited our vibe perfectly, particularly on New Year’s Eve.
Our theme was ‘clean and green’, specifically forest green to tie in with the festive period.
The Big Gospel Choir sang ‘Feel the love’ by Jess Glynne and Rudimental, which was just perfect.
We offered our guests a choice; Pork Belly, Goats Cheese or Soup to start, Chicken, Lamb or Wellington for main, and Sticky Toffee Pudding or Crème Brulee for dessert. We loved the food at the menu tasting!
Where to start?! Big Gospel Choir sang during the drinks reception, and were an absolute highlight of the day. Eleanor Nicholson provided a beautiful Harp accompaniment to our wedding breakfast. Jo from PianoDaisy twinkled the keys during the room change and guests changing outfits.
Ian from DFC got the party started, and The Rockets Collective well and truly fuelled the fire with 2 sets of absolute bangers! Phenomenal Fireworks brought the new year in with a spectacular display, and Ian sent us off to bed with Auld Lang Syne.
Kerry Woods. Truly special. Kerry was an angel! She guided our day from start to finish, providing a reassuring smile a firm prod when needed! Her photos are just breathtaking, and from two camera shy people, I am overwhelmed with the beautiful pictures Kerry managed to capture.
Originally we booked with Clare, for whom nothing was too much trouble! We then dealt with Ocean who was brilliant.
My bridesmaids were instrumental in bringing my vision to fruition, and for reassuring and calming me. I could not have made it through the 6 weeks of covid nightmares pre-wedding without them!
Jane from Flower Design presenting the bouquets in the morning with such love for her job!
Mulled wine on arrival at Eaves.
The beautiful Christmas trees and door foliage from Bash Events.
An amazing wreath my friend made which hung above me & Ben during the wedding breakfast.
Singing Auld Lang Syne at midnight outside after the fireworks.
My bridesmaids wearing personalized white crocs as their dancing shoes!
The standing ovation my dad received from his speech.
Nana Mo being tempted to leave her armchair by the fire for a boogie on the dancefloor!
The outfit changes from the guests – a whole new sparkly evening event was held!
