We had provisionally booked a venue in Tenerife where we got engaged but my dad took us to Holmes mill for tea one night and we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it, much more us!

Rustic style, quite simple as we didn’t want to take away from the uniqueness of the venue itself.
We had a string quartet who played Canon in D as I walked down the aisle then when we were announced they played ‘From this Moment’.

We went with the pit roast food option. When we were looking at weddings abroad we were going with a BBQ style and this allowed us to do a similar thing without a 3-course formal wedding breakfast. We then had red, white and rose wine on each table.
My friend from primary school was the DJ.
Our first dance song was Michael Bublé,‘Everything’.

Peter Anslow. He has done weddings of people that I know previously and he was always the photographer we wanted.
Stacey and Mike were brilliant throughout listening to our ideas. We incorporated a lot of personal touches for my husband’s parents who aren’t with us anymore.
