Choosing a summer wedding, as Emma, now a teacher, needed to fit it in with the school holidays, the couple had their wedding on 27th May 2019 at her family church, St. Michael & St. John’s RC Church in Clitheroe. They then had their wedding reception at Falcon Manor.
We knew of Falcon Manor from being part of James’ Places, but we wanted to go a bit further afield. A lot of the venues closer to home have been used for other family events and we wanted somewhere unique.

Our theme was sparkle and our colour scheme was royal blue and baby pink. To be completely honest, it was Emma’s day to be a Disney princess, so there was plenty of glitter and sparkle.
The Wedding March.

We had a three-course meal and gave the guests an option of three for each course. Neither me nor Kaigan drink, so we left my Aunty and maid of honour to choose the wines – they definitely went down well, though!
DFC, who came with the venue. Helping us to choose our own playlist in advance was fun, but also hilarious on the night – it did end up including a choreographed High School Musical dance routine!
Our first dance was also Bryan Adams – (Everything I do) I Do It For You.

Si Miller – he was super friendly and prices weren’t extortionate. We didn’t want loads of posed photos and Si’s style was to just capture the day as it unfolded, without being over the top. He was fab!
Emily was our wedding coordinator at Falcon Manor. We had a couple of meetings and conversations over emails. Emily was great at responding quickly and with the information needed.
We tried to do as much of the wedding as we could by ourselves – ie, making all the invites and order of services, etc. It definitely saved us money, but also made the day so much more personal! Other people that helped were:
Hair – Elizabeth Grace in Whalley, Lancs
Makeup – Alex Kate Makeup Artistry
Flowers – The Flower Girls, of Whalley
Camper Van – Bronte Camper Hire, Lancashire
Groomswear – Slaters Menswear, Preston
Bridal wear – Wed2be Bolton, but the sleeves and lace trim were added by my Mum. All stationery, table decor and the seating plan were handmade by my Mum. She was an absolute star.
